People with Down syndrome are always happy.

Many people think that people with Down syndrome are always happy.
And they are in a good mood, no matter what happens. That is just not true.

Verena Günnel is a happy person. She writes:

"When I really feel well, and am content, then I am also happy.
A lot of laughing, and being funny."

Marc Lohmann, is also mostly very happy, but he writes:

"Many people think: People with Down syndrome are always happy.
We are always in a good mood.
And we are always friendly.
It's true. We are often friendly.
But not always!"

When something upsets them, people with Down syndrome get angry.
They feel sad. They feel lonely, or they get into a rage.
Just like other people.
But, it’s true, many are often happy, and charming.
That is one reason why working with them, collaborating with them, can be such a delight.
